Talk about Long Term Evolution nowadays. Downloading, watching and surfing the web will be so damn fast. ipad 3 vs ipad 2 Comparisons

I’m not gonna talk about which is better ipad 2 or ipad 3 here. There are some qualities that put  each one better than the other depending on your location, networks, needs, and pockets. So here we go.

ipad 3 wow!

Price:

ipad 3 starts at $499 for the 16gb wifi unit. ipad 2 was more expensive but now just $399 wow!

ipad 3 is cheaper compared to the introductory selling price of ipad 2. Though now, you can buy an ipad 2 and still enjoy the brilliant features of having an awesome ipad except if you’re tempted to have the luxury of using 4G and LTE network, higher resolution, message dictation and the new A5x chip.

Chips

ipad 3 – A5x Chip while ipad 2 runs in A5 Chip

ipad 3 has leveled up for the A5x Chip. What is the x? It has the pride of having Quad Core graphics giving faster performance, graphics and resolution which promises a million more brilliant than a HD TV. Talk about high definition here, ipad 2 still runs in the A5 chip. It’s still A5 chip.

Display

ipad 3 has an amazing 2048 by 1536 pixels at 264 pixels per inch. The retina display just got better. I’m glad this is so compatible with its new camera of 5 megapixel that gives awesome photos and high definition videos like that of iphone 4S.

ipad 2 has 1024 by 768 pixels at 132 pixels per inch. Still sharp and bright. The display and graphics of ipad 2 is not the problem here, it’s its camera.

Camera

ipad 3 has 5MP iSight camera which is a wow because it uses advanced optics and has autofocus, face detection in still images, and gives a 1080p HD while ipad 2 has only 720p high definition qualities. FaceTime is the same to both ipads.

I think Apple has heard the feedback to produce a better camera for ipad since Samsung Galaxy tab camera was better. Anyone who said, ipad is not for camera lovers will be wrong now.

Weight

ipad 2 is lighter than ipad 3.

ipad 3 is 1.44 punds (652 g) while ipad 2 is only 1.33 pounds (601 g)

Depth

ipad 2 is slimmer and thinner than ipad 3.

ipad 3 is 0.37 inch (9.4 mm) thick while ipad 2 is only 0.34 inch (8.8 mm)

Obviously, ipad 2 has scored better to thickness and weight here.

Network and Connectivity

ipad 3 offers 4G LTE networks, the new evolution for the fastest networks today. Instead of 3G and wifi, ipad 3 is now bringing wifi plus 4G connectivity. ipad 2 is on wifi plus 3G options.

Though 4g and LTE (Long Term Evolution) network is the new world, you can also enjoy fast web browsing and connections by having just wifi so why bother.

Dictation feature

The ipad 3 has now dictation feature that lets you say instead of type. You say the word instead of typing it when you email, search the web, make a note, sending a text.  The microphone icon can be used to some apps too like Facebook, Twitter and many more third-party applications.

ipad 2 has no microphone icon in the screen keyboard. So to those who are lame to type, ipad 3 is better for them.

ipad 3 now can be a hotspot to connect up to 5 devices such as another ipad, MacBook, ipod touch, iphone over a wifi network, Bluetooth or USB connection. ipad 2 can’t do this in the moment.

Similar features like built in apps, color (black and white), iCloud, iOS are in both ipads. And oh battery life is the same for both tablets too.

Whilst Temple Run is unstoppable for being one of the best free games in the iphone, ipod touch and ipad, Android and Blackberry users are also requesting for this adrenaline rush game of the year. For only after 6 months after the release of the game, Temple Run has overtaken the famous Angry Birds already. Seems the birds are really angry now. I admit, at first I didn’t fancy the game so much and never had to try it even after the first few weeks of my new ipad 2. But since I saw my sisters hooked of it after their work and before bed time, I tapped the game and started playing. And yeah, once you run, you can’t stop…

Currently, my highest score is one million above. Not bad for a starter. (laughs)  It’s easier to play in the iphone though. I’ve seen some guys displayed their high score in Facebook reaching 10 million, 5 millions and damn 16 million? But then I doubt some of those were real because I’ve heard you can cheat Temple Run easily. And the trick is on youtube already and probably all over the place online, too. Still, what’s the point..

My sister who is using Blackberry is so jealous. She has to borrow my ipad 2 just to play. She hates playing in the iphone. How I wish Temple Run would be available for Blackberry now. Especially now that the stunning touch screen Blackberry Bold 9900 looks modish and awesome in the fingers.

Temple Run for Android download has created a stir for Android users after some video teasers of the game running on a Samsung Galaxy S2 went viral. And there’s a rumor that the game will be released on February 25. Anyway, this is the official statement of the creator and developer of Temple Run:

Reminds me of iCloud hmm. You don’t have to log in either to your Instagram and Instapad every now and then just to see your photos and memorabilias. You can also see and share popular photos of people using Instagram worldwide. Before I forget, somebody asked me if photos in the Instagram account are publicly viewable by everyone. The answer is yes, all your pictures can be seen by everyone who uses Instagram and views Instgr.am website by default. However you can always have a special private option by approving your followers and subscribers first before they could see all your photo collections.

Whilst the popularity and usage of Instagram and Instapad is so loved and enjoyed by iphone, ipod touch, and ipad users, lots of Android and Blackberry users also want to install this amazing free app.  Instagram for Android users are still in the wait as to when their gadgets could use this amazing app.

There is no certain announcement yet too as to when Instagram and Instapad app for Blackberry is going to run. My sister is so itching to download this free app but it's not yet possible.

Mobile devices like Samsung, Nokia, HTC, LG, Alcatel, and many more are looking forward to adopt this app too. But I think they much rather introduce other photo sharing and photo platform alternatives because of the creator of Instagram said:

Without losing my luck I tried to register to Instagram instead, thinking Instapad has no specific sign up instruction yet or any FAQ for that matter. Strangely, I ended up on the main Instagram app download via Appstore. Then I just went to my Appstore directly and downloaded Instagram for iphone. I know Instagram is for iphone, but you need it to log in to your Instapad account. After that, I finally and successfully signed up. Yay, I can now log in to my Instapad account.
